July 2011... there is still no decision from the government on the Renewable Heat Incentive. The Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) are due to release details of the governmentʼs Green Deal later this month. Details about the RHI should be included in this Green Deal announcement.
It is rumoured that under the RHI, new solar thermal systems will be eligible for an interim grant payment, with an annual payment coming into force from October 2012. There is also speculation that the RHI may be paid retrospectively and may include thermal systems installed since July 2009.
